My husband has a...

My husband has a 2001 GMC 2500 with a 8.1 gas burner.About 4 month ago the transmission light came on and said the transmission was hot ,to put it in idle. it showed the temperature to the transmission was over 300. I got it home and my husband checked it . It was not hot. The light went off a few days later we put it in the shop they could not find what was wrong with it.When the light comes on and shifts it will shift real hard. Any suggestions!

Yes it is fine

When it was in the shop they replaced the heat sensor manofild inside the transmission,internal wiring harness,also external pig tail on wiring harness, hope this makes sense to you. I am typing as my husband talks
