Will not idle, just...

Will not idle, just noticed that the negative battery cable is disconnected, also there is a hollow line along the drivers side just under the hood that is broken. Not sure if this is causing the stalling

Mechanic's Assistant: Is the check engine light on? Does the car stall at idle or when driving?

The light is not on. It was just stalling while driving, now it will not idle at all

Just looked at it this morning, yes most likely will repair myself. Just happened to notice that the negative battery lean to the engine was hanging loose today.

The engine will start, but not idle. Will reconnect, but need location and size of bolt

Thanks for the help, any idea what the hollow tubes are that run along the hood line from the firewall to the grill. They are running along side the hood release cable. One is broken,

vacuum lines. you can go to the part store, buy a length of vacuum hose that is the same size, and install the hose between the break in the line
