Service brake light is coming on.
JA: Have you checked the brake fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed?
Customer: Son swears he checked fluids and it is fine. Anything else that could cause this?
JA: What is the model/year of your GM?
Customer: 2003 1500 extended cab
JA: Are you fixing your Cab yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Son's truck. He is DETERMINED the brakes need replacing

Hello, the brake light will only come on for a few reasons. One being the fluid is low. If there are no leaks in the system, the issues is most likely that the brakes are worn down too far and need to be replaced. The only other option is the emergency brake switch is stuck on.
