yes the shifting is controlled by the computer with the computer using TPS and VSS information to know when to shift it
was the bottom of the pan clean ?
it shifts higher RPM ? and just shifts sloppy or weakish at lower RPM ?
was the bottom of the pan clean no clutch debris or metal or brass at all ?

if there are NO codes and the speedometer operates fine and there was no debris in the bottom of the pan and new fluid usually reprogramming the computer with updated calibrations does the trick
we have had a few rare ones with TPS issues but usually would set codes or you could capture it reading erratic with a scan tool
