this is usually caused by a bad blend door actuator and is a common problem with these, the blend door actuators, there are 3 of them, one for temp, one for mode, for the vents, defrost and floor, and one for recirc of the a/c system, the plastic gears strip out over time and the motor will continue to run, we do alot of these for this exac problem,are you planning to fix this yourself?
