Customer Question

2005 GMC Sierra. All the lights work normally when the headlights are off. When the headlights come on there are no brake lights and when you hit the turnsignal everything flashes except the headlights.

With headlights on, there are no stoplights at all, even the cab mounted stop light?

Headlights on, turn on a blinker brake lights flash, signals flash, license plate lights flash

I'd start by checking all fuses with a test light to make sure they all have power on both sides (no open fuses, power is actually present there). Open fuses do funny things with lights, as electricity finds the path of least resistance, which can include your light bulbs. Definitely start with that, and see if you find anything wrong there. If not, we'll continue, but always go to the easy stuff first.
