Customer Question

Just replaced the motor now it idles rough going from 600 to 900, if I unhook the vacuum line from brake booster it idles at an even 1500. Think I need to check for leak in vacuum line. Do you have a vacuum line diagram for 95 s10 vortec v6 cpi?
JA: Leaks can get messy. The GMC Mechanic will know what to do. Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: Yes as I replaced the motor by myself
JA: Great! What have you tried so far?
Customer: Cleaned egr valve and input, replaced idle air control valve
JA: Is there anything else the GMC Mechanic should be aware of about your GMC?
Customer: It's 95.5 vortec v6 code W cpi injection
JA: Our top GMC Mechanic is ready to take your case. Just pay the $5 fully refundable deposit and I'll fill the GMC Mechanic in on everything we've discussed. You can go back and forth with the GMC Mechanic until you're 100% satisfied. We guarantee it.

What trouble codes are you logging as this is going on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Code reader keeps saying connection error tried it about 15 different times checked connection and wires all are fine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK used a different code reader got code p1345

I'm sorry for the delay, I was supposed to get an email notification that you had responded, but I didn't get that notification.

P1345 means you need to perform the crankshaft variation learn procedure, but this won't cause an idle issue, or any other issue, for that matter.

What is the fuel trim doing when it's idling high like this?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Already solved the issue
