GMC Troubleshooting Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers
Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here. There is only one fuse that will keep the engine from cranking and that is the #6 maxi fuse located in the under hood fuse panel. Start first with checking it to be sure its not blow. See the wiring diagram in the link below, copy and paste the link to your browser to open and view it.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104923897/No%20crank%20Feb%2022.pdf
Start first with making sure you battery is fully charged and the connections are clean and tight and if that checks okay, take your 12 volt test light and or a volt meter and with the key in the crank position check and see if you have power on both wires at the starter. Check this and post back with the results and we can work from there.
Have you had the computer system scanned to see if there are any fault codes setting?
Okay post back with the fault codes and we can work from there.
I had not received a response notice till today so I did not know you had responded back to me.In most cases if your are not able to communicate with the scanner that indicates you may have a problem with the ECM (computer) . I have enclosed the steps to check it in the link below, copy and paste the link toy our browser to open and view it.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104923897/Scanner%20Com%20Mar%205.pdf
