Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay.

The most common cause for this issue here is a fault with the pass lock sensor not reading the key properly. The pass lock sensor is located inside the electronic ignition switch on this model here. The ignition switch is the electronic portion that the key cylinder rotates. This sensor will act up intermittently and cause what you have described with the switch needing replaced to correct this issue here.

I would start with having the fault codes read out/checked to see what codes are set in all computers. This needs done with a scan tool that will plug into your vehicle and can communicate with all computers.Once this is done any codes set need diagnosed to locate and repair the fault here.

I suspect your electronic ignition switch does need replaced.

Thanks Pete
