GMC Sierra 1500: replaced the console during change out drivers

Customer Question

replaced the console during change out drivers seat fell near door entrance noticed two wires were unhooked from what appeared to be small black clip anchored to floor. Noticed wires appeared to be once connected looking from top of crimped lug. Service airbag light on and airbag icon.

It sounds like you may have damaged a ground. If the wires were crimped together and attached to the floor that sounds like a ground. The airbag light may be on from a loss of ground to the airbag module, or it's possible this wiring could have been for a seat airbag or seatbelt pretensioner.
