Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site. Double check the connections to the transmission. This fault code can be caused by a plethora of things and needs to be broken down to sub codes.
well you're missing something. put a scan tool on it that breaks the code down further to communicate with the control modules.
adjust the transmission range switch and check it for the proper voltages and grounds
yes, neutral safety switch. ill send you the adjustment
always a great possibility
do a master reset. disconnect both battery cables. rub the terminals together for 30 seconds, let them hang loose gor 30 minutes then reconnect.
yes and here is the adjustment
I never tried leaving them together that long. try the 30 second, 30 minute procedure
open as long as it takes my friend
I have to get to my shop. Ill be back on in an hour.
ABS light on also?
ok, its very important to keep the battery charged to at least 12.5 vdc while checking things.
The only way this can be determined is to find out why the U0100 code is present. This can only be accomplished with a GM TECH 2 scan tool. I cant tell you which modules the ecm is not communicating with over a data bus. There is a limit to what we can do on here. This is going to take the correct diagnostics that I have already attached.
