Installed new alternator and battery and it still will not

Customer Question

installed new alternator and battery and it still will not keep time on dash, which tells me something is draining it or not charging the battery. 2007 GMC Yukon.
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: Its brand new with full charge
JA: Are you fixing your Yukon yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, installed new battery and alternator. Is this a computer I am talking to?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Is the only symptom that the clock doesnt keep the correct time?

No issues with battery draining down after a few days?

No other electrical issues?

What is the voltage at the battery when idling with no load and then with a load?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I just installed both the alternator and battery this afternoon. I set the time on the digital clock and when driving if about three hours later the clock was exactly an hour behind. Seems to start fine and the pulsing lights have stopped after the install of the alternator. No other issues that I can see in this short time. The voltage is over 14 when idling with lights and radio on. Is there a fuse between the alternator and battery that I can check?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I can help.

Can you post your VIN number? Need to know RPO code of the radio

Just to confirm the clock is in the radio?

Do you lose any radio station presets?

When you said the clock was 1 HR behind. Did it switch exactly 1 hr or slowly changed ?

Please get back with me.

Thank you
