1998 k2500 6,.5 Starts fine oil pressure is fine. reaches running temperature oil pressure drops. step on accelerator oil pressure rises but not fully. let off accelerator oil pressure drops fast. a friend who knows diesels says that while idling motor sounds great. While driving oil pressure drops engine at times sounds like it is starving for fuel. stalls. Starts right back up. idles fine. changed oil pressure switch. 367000 miles

When you changed the oil pressure switch did you install a manual gauge and read the actual engine oil pressure?

That would be the next step, remove the new sender and install a Manuel gauge and monitor the actual oil pressure to see if its actually dropping out on you.
