where is my answer
Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 5 years ago.
Sorry I had to use the washroom.
this means it is either a bad oil pressure sensor or wiring. The sensors are becoming a common issue in in the GM vehicles so i would look there first.

is it alright to drive the car until i can get in in for service will the oil pressure stop enine go on to let me know that i should stop driving or can i still drive the car with problem of damaging the engine

Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 5 years ago.
Provided there is oil pressure, it is safe to drive.
When there is no oi pressure the engine will rattle due to the lifters not getting pressure to work.
I would make sure there is proper pressure and if so then you can drive as long as needed.
