Good afternoon,
Researching information on ways to continue the growth of your maple tree and stop the visits from the beetles that have decided to cause damage.
1. Weeding yard is helpful as to stop the beetles from finding food and hiding out. Also consider using products with "Sevin"

As you have taken care of the damaged parts of the tree and seeing new growth that fertilizing for the falls and winter months can help in maintaining growth going into the new year. Keeping an eye out for beetles and other pests are key as keeping your yard clear of growth for the beetles to hide can help in keeping them away from your tree.
