Customer Question

can a government tax agency test a register printed thermal paper tape to determine when it was printed?

The question doesn't make much sense.

What register is it?

If you print off a z report then the time and date and consecutive number will be at the top of the print off unless you have programmed the register not to show it. Once the report has been run the register then stores it into a z2, z3 etc file. Once they have all been run the register deletes the info.. so you can't go back and reprint, obviously depending on type of register.. any more info then get back to me. Peter

Sorry let me rephrase the question. I have a paper thermal tape that has 300 entries on it and it was finalized by taking a Z report. COULD THAT REPORT BE TESTED TO DETERMINE WHEN THAT REPORT WAS ACTUALLY DONE?

If there is a time and date stamped on the print off then that would be the only indication. If not then once the z report has been run everything will be cleared
