I am sewing a light weight cotton backed with rather firm

Customer Question

I am sewing a light weight cotton backed with rather firm pellon (not fusible), My cotton layer is bunching up on me when I sew the two layers using straight stitch. All fabric is smooth when I pin it, the cotton seem to "grow" when I sew it.I'm using a Bernina Aurora Q E with universal needle. Nancy

Hi and welcome to Just answer.

Initially, did you try to adjust the tension when you sew a two layer? Also try to clean your feed dog.

Let me know what happen,
