What is shelf life for soy sauce?
What type of soy sauce do you have and how has it been stored?

Kikkoman Less Sodium; stored in a pantry opened.

Thank you for using JustAnswer!

The shelf life of a bottle of opened soy sauce is considered to be up to 2 years. One of the reasons that soy sauce can stay good for this amount of time is that it has a high sodium content which makes it difficult for bacteria to grow.

I do recommend that once the bottle of soy sauce has been opened that it be stored in the refrigerator. This will help retain its flavor for a longer period of time.

If the odor of the soy sauce does not smell right then it is always best to dispose and purchase a new bottle.
