i want to get scuba certified. i live in nj. where are the low cost options to do this?
Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I am happy to try to help today.

What area of NJ do you reside in? When you say "low cost," what kind of budget do you have to get the certification?

Let me know and I will send you some options right away.

i have no idea of how much it costs. can u provide a ballpark?

If you will need the equipment (snorkel, mask, fins, boots - quality) that will be in the $200-$300 range. The classes itself for the open-water certification (the main one) along with the tank rental, etc are generally going to run you in the $500-$600 range. Some will be a little more expensive, or less expensive, than others.

is that the price of entire certification or just one class?

That is going to be what you would roughly spend for an entire class.

for one option in Short Hills, NJ. The page is for their open water certification but will give you a better idea of the likely options.
