A longstanding discussion among my friends: on which hand did

A longstanding discussion among my friends: on which hand did Queen Victoria wear her wedding ring? Right hand, German-style? Or left hand? I can''t find the answer anywhere.
Hello, my name is Greg.

Looking at some pictures of Queen Victoria (along with official portraits)

In both of these you can see that the ring is on the left hand. Your right though, it is hard to find any discussion on this topic so I decided to find what pictures I could showing the ring on her finger.

Thank you, Greg. I must say that in the first picture the ring finger of her left hand was almost completely obscured by the elaborate ring on the middle finger. However, in the family portrait, although there is a large ring (engagement ring?) on her left ring finger, it's possible to see a thin wedding band as well. You've solved a problem that's been niggling for years. Well done!

No problem - glad to help.
