I dont see why you could not sell an electric kettle if the cord is in good shape and the kettle has been tested. It may not bring a high sum...25.00-35.00 (USD) but clean and rust free, I would think it is fair game.

Other items have been contributed by other residents all the items are in working order, however have not been pat tested . All items are for sale to the general public, for just a small amount of money ie 50 pence to £5.00

Then certainly. At this price no one would expect too much but you may want to test it yourself and double check the parts to make sure it would not create a problem for someone that would be best truthfully.
