On an Excel spreadsheet I need to automatically return a value

Resolved Question:

On an Excel spreadsheet I need to automatically return a value based on a couple of conditions. My formula does not work.

If cell J3 has a date entered and
Cell C3 contains the letter P
Cell D3 will return a value of the date in J3 plus 30 days.

If conditions are not met cell D3 remains blank.

My formula =IF(AND(I3>0,C3="P"), I3+30,"")

Hi again,

There is no ISDATE function in the standard excel functions but you can check if the value is greater than say year 2000.

=IF(AND(I3>36525,C3="P"), I3+30,"")

(note you said J3 but your formula has I3)

Hope this is ok. Let me know if you have any questions
