I kind of need help today with this. Thank you!

This is a prevailing issue here in America. When does this get out of hand? When does profit over public rise to the point where it is hazardous to the people? Having the right to do what we please here in America is no excuse for some of the foods that we are encouraged to eat. At the end of the day, all companies need to make a profit, but they need to decide at what cost. Any further comments on this?

The way the system work is that companies will not just do as they please. They will do as they please within the legal range that the legislator implemented (or they play in the gray areas that have yet to be defined).

So the population have the law that it merit. It's as much a responsibility of the population to ask for proper legislation and to educate itself to be able to know when corporation lie to them.

The same way we saw big amount of money given by the church to abused children by priest years after the fact, i suspect that lot of dangerous food, drugs or food supplement will eventually lead to the same kind of retroactive payment.
