Hi there, regarding a proposal around the Holiday season (the cards don't give exact dates, of course), I drew the Page of Wands, Upright. The Page wears the cloak of The Fool, the first card of the Tarot deck, and looks for a new place to place his wand. So you should still be on track for that proposal around the Holiday season........

Well, the first card that I drew about your daughter is The Six of Pentacles, Upright. So that is really "the elephant in the living room" here.......how is she getting any money to support anything, even if it going out with friends, that she wants to do? Is your ex giving her money? I mean, you do have legal custody of her.

I also drew the Queen of Pentacles, so she knows that she is getting to you this way. Can you send her a letter? Can you send your ex a letter saying "look, I have legal custody, I don't want to start anything, but she needs to come home." I mean, it appears that she is waiting for you to show her that you are distressed. She apparently does not feel like she can assert herself in any other way.

The last card I drew was the Six of Swords, which means she is taking really a mental journey. None of these cards tell me that she is involved in anything negative, such as substance abuse. However, there must be a "third person" besides your resistant ex who can tell you how she is.....I am really getting this from my guide..........what if her sister called her?

My guide was telling me the main issue that will bring her back home was: money. She doesn't have any; then I drew the Six of Pentacles....a man making up his mind if he should give money to two beggars; she has asked, but I don't think your ex is going to be generous. I feel strongly that you are right, this is just rebellion, and I just don't know, I feel there is something off about Kiara telling her aunt these things about you. Do you trust her (the aunt)? And just to see what the cards would say, I drew the Ten of Pentacles, Upright (the end of a cycle based on money). She will return soon because she has no source of income, and your ex well, he is not going to want to tolerate this drama for much longer. Also, since his girlfriend left, she has no source of money or really (and I feel this strongly) someone who is encouraging her to stay away from you. She was part of this whole issue. I feel it is resolving itself already. When you first spoke to me about this, I didn't feel that. But I think she has played her hand out, she is a young girl who wants to come home (but of course she will not admit that to anyone) and where she is staying is miserable. It is changing already, Mom.

Oh my goodness, come on now. I know you are hurting. It is devastating when a child pulls something like this......and I pulled The High Priestess.......you KNOW she is thinking about you. This is ALL about you. One of the saddest but most beautiful quotes I have ever heard is "The only word heard on the battlefield is "Mother"......you are her mother, and it is the toughest relationship that you will ever love. She is going to look back on this at 25 and think of what a mess she created. Really, don't go down that road with your thoughts.......she is doing this because she is young and she feels she is sending some "rebellious" message to you. How on Earth could she act like you didn't exist anymore?

The botXXXXX XXXXXne my friend, it is tough enough to raise a daughter through her teenage years and have her pull a stunt like this....you are hurting.......but don't ever think that she is not thinking of you. For your own sanity, think about how you are going to handle her return. Prepare her room. She isn't going to want to spend the holidays with your ex. Just don't go down the road of "my daughter hates me".......because if she truly didn't care she wouldn't be angry, she wouldn't have left in a rage, she would remain indifferent to you. The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. She wants your attention.

That is the origin of this whole thing.

See, that is where you will alienate her. Don't say to her, even though she is a young girl and your daughter "you are too proud to admit you are wrong". That lights the fire of rebellion in many a teen's heart. Can you send her a card saying "I am tired of going back and forth about who is right and wrong, I love and miss you and want you here for Thanksgiving." I know, I know, that will take alot of deep breaths and willpower, you want her to know what she has put you through, but if you want her home for the Holidays this is not the time to play any blame game. I believe this aunt did not tell you the truth. I also believe that your ex's girlfriend tried to be her "buddy" and encouraged this behavior.

So will she be home for the Holidays?

The Emperor, Upright. You have to think on her level. Saying "I don't want any fighting, I do love you, I want you to be with me, this is the first Holiday we will be apart......I think of all the Christmases we have spent together.....and I don't want to lose you, dear Kiara. This has been going on way too long, so please think about coming home for the Holidays" in a card will make her stop dead in her tracks.......

you are giving her "power" to make the decision, in her view, even though really you still are in control. That is what the Emperor does. You have both a good intuition and logical side, but you need to see that she is never going to admit that she is wrong now. Just get her back home and then the rest will follow.

She has tolerated him because of the girlfriend. I drew the Moon......which shows two animals........one a wolf, which symbolizes your ex......he isn't "tame"......and the other a dog.....which symbolizes the girlfriend. Now your daughter had a nice "buddy" relationship with the girlfriend, but she was fighting with the ex. Now that she is gone, he is alone with Kiara, who is not very pleased with him. So he had drama with his girlfriend, and now with his daughter. They didn't argue that much before because of the girlfriend......but now things are tense...........the perfect time to send a card.

Hi there, to answer your question about her being scared, I drew the

Five of Cups, Upright. You are onto something here. I don't believe she is terrified or in physical danger, but she is miserable with a capital "M". If you look at the card you will know what I am talking about........a man in mourning crying over three cups........but behind him are two raised cups that symbolize a hopeful relationship that will assist the individual (you). So she would welcome you trying something like a card to reach out to her, I feel it.
