Was the Violin labled THE WONDER VIOLIN ?

Was there any numbers on the lable?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

The inside label reads ( The Wonder. )

No. 266

Expert:  Joan replied 7 years ago.

G.C. Conn had a factory in Elkhardt, Ind. for making these violins in 1887. The Wonder was modeled after a Stradivarius which was a very famous violin. The factory burned down a few years later. The Violins were numbered and yours is a very low number at 266. Some of these Violins that have been authenticated have sold at auction between $3,000-$4,000. I hope this information is of help.
