wHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN A CANVAS PRINT. IT IS A PHOTO I HAD PUT ONTO A LARGE CANVAS, IT IS VERY PRECIOUS TO ME AND IT HAS FLY POO ALL OVER IT. HELP!! PLEASE!!

Hi Biff,

The answer to this question can depend, based on what medium is used on the canvas. For all medium, the first step is to remove the painting from the wall and brush it off using a non-shedding cloth or a light bristle brush. For example, for watercolors, take slices of white bread with the crust removed and press them up against the painting. For an acrylic painting, try using a can of compressed air. For oil paintings, art supply stores sell emulsion cleaner. If you go that route, use a cotton ball to test a corner before you clean it (under the frame). Make sure you are removing only dirt, not paint.
