Sugar in a cup of tea dissolves. In a cup of tea, the water is called the solvent and the sugar is the solute.

this is a question for my 11 year old son in yr 7 homework, in it he has to use the words dissolve, solute, solution, solvent, sugar,tea, and also has to do a diagram with it, and try to describe and explain melting using particle theory.
