non-dvm to own animal hospital/Clinic in Florida

This answer was rated:

Does anyone know where I could go (website?) to find a list of States that do & do not allow non-dvm to own animal hospital/Clinic. I'm mostly interested in (Florida )but all states would be great.
Thank you..

Good morning,

According to Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 474.215, you do not have to be a dvm to own a clinic. Any individual or corporation may do so, however, each establishment must have a licensed veterinarian responsible for the management of the establishment.

Here is the website for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations that refers to Veterinary Medicine. http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/pro/vetm/index.html

Thank you for choosing JustAnswer.
