I have to report that this not a very rare coin as there were 1,983,540 minted.
They sell for $1 on auction websites, 5 shillings being .25 pounds at the current conversion it is, .25GBP is .49 American cents or for euros
0.25 GBP = 0.318407 EUR the currency has inflated by 13.2% since 1951, if that were to be counted, 0.283 GBP = 0.360433 EUR or 0.283 GBP = 0.560113 USD

So it selling for double the value, just not what you were hoping for.
