# How do I find the average of measurements in square feet

I have a list of 20 measurements that are in square feet. How do I find the average. I have been adding the measurements up and dividing by 20, however, my answer seems way off.

Hi there!

Do you mind posting the list of measurements?

Thanks,

Scott

Reply to Scott's Post: Those are the only measurements I need, the other numbers are not relevant to me at this time. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi again,

The average of those numbers is:

(72+513+286+323+575+42+217+65+123+80+180+84+28)/13

= 199.08 sq ft

Let me know if that makes sense,

Scott
