I know Chanel No 5 and Wind Song were two perfumes that were very popular in the 50's. Also, Avon had Glycerin and Rosewater. Those are three that I know many women had in their bedtables in the mid-50's.

Christian Dior launched Diorrisimo. This classic, trend-setting perfume was created by Guy Robert, and launched in 1956.

Ambush by Dana Andrews was heavily advertised in 1956.

Evenining in Paris was also manufactured, advertised and sold in 1956. Chanel #5 was used in 1956 specifically as I stated above. Windsong and Tabu - 1956 manufactured. April Violets, Bond Street and Lotus perfume by Yardley were available in 1956. Lastly I was also able to find a perfume called Arpege by Lanvin that was sold in the year 1956. Hopefully, these will help you somewhat.
