A follow up to my query Re William Johnston with Brendan. Wonder

A follow up to my query Re William Johnston with Brendan.
Wonder if you can help regarding William's sister Mary Ann Johnston. She was born in Montreal 16/12/1863. Christened by chaplain of 2nd Scots Fusilier Guards.
Following the death of James Simmers Johnston the family was split up. The only thing I've been able to find about Mary Ann was in 1881 Census where a Mary Ann Johnston, born around 1863 in Montreal, was a servant in Stoughton Leicester. An elder member of the family remembered that there was a sister, but nothing else.
Time for bed in Oz, hope for a reply in the morning.
Thanks,
Bob Roberts

Many thanks Brendan. Good luck with it.

Bob

Hi Bob,

I think we should be looking for a death record for Mary Ann, I have located Elizabeth 1871 living with her parents and her one daughter Fanny, I feel if Mary Ann aged 7 would also have been living with her mother, if she was alive.
