And I'm guessing you were buying it through the online store for Nintendo, right?

Did you get a payment successful message?

I'm guessing your purchase may not have activated correctly based on what you are saying. What I would do is try to activate it through the console and then if that fails, contact Nintendo, since it's going to be on their servers the record of the money being taken from your (or your neighbor's) bank account, but no game.
