I was born in france and my wife will give birth to our child in France, does my child have the right to obtain citizenship as a second generation born child in france?

Neither me or my wife hold a French passport. We were told that second generation born babies in france are eligible to obtain the passport.

Your son could get the french nationality because you, his father, was french (Ius sanguini)

May be you have to get your french pasport again, but in all cases your son could get the french natinality
