Truck went threw regen...

Truck went threw regen on way home. 24 hours later went to start and says "stop safely now" and wont start. Can I do anything to get started and get to mechanic?

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?

Pretty clean and drove truck all day yesterday with no issues

2011 f550 dually dump with 6.7

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your F550 yourself? What have you tried so far?

No trying to get started to get to mechanic or at least back to work yard. Company truck (not mine) and don't won't wanna be responsible for any failure.

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka-Moose).

  • THE TIME I AM ONLINE, 7 days a week normally online around midday and then late evening until early morning.

With a scan tool to get me the codes, I can help much better. Without one I can only make an educated guess. That would be an exhaust gas temperature sensor failure. You can remove both battery cables for 30 minutes to see if it will reset. Beyond that, you are at the mercy of needing diagnostics and repairs done.

You now will see a rating scale a row of yellow stars from bad to excellent, because I have posted my 1st full/partial answer. When you rate I get a portion of the deposit you made, no rating means you still paid, but I earn nothing. My goal is understanding your question, and addressing it in full detail.
