2007 f250 6.8 liter wont start fuel pump not running checked every fuse replaced fuel pump and fpdm

Mechanic's Assistant: Most vehicles have two fuse panels. Have you located both?

Yes i check under dash. And under hood

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your F250 yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes im doing it myself so far i check fuses fuel pump and the fuel pump driver module by replacing them

I did i removed the kick paneland pushed it down i also held it down it case it was just popping back up

Im wondering if i could have a bad ground im not to good at readong wiring diagrams the 3 wires on tbe pump 1 is ground 1 is fuel pump hot 1 is the gas gauge which wire is which

so when you turn the key on you cant hear the pump running for a few seconds, correct?

No u cant i took tbe bed off pulled out on the 2 clips removed the pump out of the tank and plugged a new one in still wouldnt run so i know the pump isnt bad

check for 12 volts at the connector where the white wire is

actually, pull the fuel pump relay out. the prongs should be numbered 30,87,86,85. check for 12 volts in the slot where 30 would go

I couldnt find they relay i have heard several different stories on it some say behind radio so say by master cylinder some say that its built into fuse panel

that sucker is built in, forgot about that, only on the 6.8 though. oh well. now we have to figure out how to test it, standby

see if you have power at fuse 40 on that panel. that's the fuel pump relay fuse

There are 4 wires on the plug at the tank 2 for gas gauge 2 for fuel pump which 2 are for fuel fump and which is pos n neg

Thats on top of the fuel pump gas tank no white wire i ran a hot to my fuel pump it started

check for power at the pink/black wire on the fpdm connector while someone turns the key on because its only going to be there a few seconds
