I'm having trouble removing a left side halfshaft ( axle ) on a 91 Ford Escort GT

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Escort yourself? What have you tried so far?

I am using a forked wedge and I've applied a lot of pressure without results

Mechanic's Assistant: Besides this, what condition is the car in?

Very good condition with over 200,000 miles
