Hello, I was wondering why (on my 2012 Ford E350 cargo van) are my newly installed Brakes and rotors squeaking every time I press the brake pedal? Minor Squeaking also happens when I turn right. Also, when they heat up they make this strange chiming tune seems like its coming from the rear

Hi,

There are alot of possible causes -

inexpensive pads and rotors

reuse of caliper hardware

no use of brake pad anti squeal shims

no use of brake grease on back of pads as well as where they ride on the caliper hardware

brake grease got on face of pads

semi metallic pads with large chunks of metal

no dust groove cut in pads

rotors not properly washed and cleaned to get the oil off them which is now on the pads

rotors with excessive runout on them from the factory
