Thats prob your main light switch, next we will need to pull it and check power with light on at pin 14 brown wire, if power is present you have a break in the wire or ground issue in the circuit if there is no power you need a new light switch

we sure can, no worries on time, this question lasts as as long as we need to get the situation fixed and could last over a number of days, it dosent cost any extra per question or time limit, just the one fee and thats it.

Haven’t been able to check out the light switch.
What is the safest method to remove the switch w/o damaging the housing or dash

that basically slides in there and is just held in by pressure clips, so you want to use non marring plastic pry tools to pop it out, because of the age you may have to pull the knee bolster and reach up in there and assist in pushing it out from behind the dash

If I rate your service, does that end the conversation I paid for? I have not been able to remove the light switch yet for various reasons, but did buy the tools for that step.
