2005 Ford Escape Hybrid...

2005 Ford Escape Hybrid. High beams do not turn on. Dash indicator shows "Check left high beam/check right high beam". Multifunction switch shows high beam indicator when pushed forward, as well as back. Engaging high beams on multifunction switch interacts with fog lights correctly. Both high beam bulbs have been replaced. Relays under the hood are good. Appropriate fuses seem to be good. Is it possible it's still the multifunction switch, even though it appears to be working correctly? Or is it the smart junction box? Or is there something else I can check that I'm missing?

We need to do some electrical testing with a volt ohm meter. Are you good with testing, have a meter and understand wire diagrams?

Your answer wasn’t the answer. It’s a step towards the answer. An answer would be “yes, your smart junction box is bad” or “no, your smart junction box isn’t bad, it’s…”. You can’t give either of those answers at the moment until I get the information you requested. So stop sending me emails, I’ll get back to you after it’s done.
