I have front end vibration between 55-65 when accelerating…

Customer Question
I have front end...

I have front end vibration between 55-65 when accelerating on my 2011 FWD Ford Explorer. New tires, balanced and aligned, and it stops around 70mph, or when I let off the gas

Mechanic's Assistant: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?

Starts same as usual but I have notived my fuel economy has been pretty poor recently

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Explorer yourself? What have you tried so far?

I thought it was the tires at first, since they were needing to be replaced, and the vibration was minimal. I replaced the tires, had them balanced, got an alignment and it hasn't helped. if anything, its getting worse.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Not that I can think of. thank you

Hello my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answers! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and come back with a answer. Please be aware I do not know your skill level or abilities so I will be asking a lot of questions and in a lot of cases we will respond to each other quite a lot before we find a solution. As far as phone calls are concerned that is the system prompting you, not me, and they do cost more money, I prefer text but in some cases a phone call is required. If I don’t answer right away or quickly in conversation I am helping another customer or have stepped out for a moment and will respond as soon as I can. Ok lets get started!

That sounds still like a tire issue im aware the tires are new but I would get a 2nd opinion on the ballance of those and have someone check the run out of the c/v axles and rotors these both could have issues, If the tire balance isnt done with a proper machine it could miss an issue with the tires that could cause a problem, I have tons of tires over the years that are bad right from the factory
