randall,installed new thermo, still no heat / old thermo was installed wrong. have a gut feeling heater core is clogged. only 1 heater core hose is hot ??

yes, if only one hose it hot? sure sounds like blocked heater core. Generally they do not block 100% but many of the cross tubes get blocked to prevent full flow of coolant. You can TRY?? backflushing the core but this method does not always work, Unsure why But Ford Taurus cars were prone to blocked cores. As long as you feel coolant is full. no air etc and heater hose cold and one hot? its 99% a bad heater core
