When I checked for voltage on the o2 connector engine side the two middle pins did not have power. All connectors looked good.

Hey how are you,I will try to help you with this issue

now for dtc

P0135 :

we have several Possible causes :

1-Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS)

2-Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit fuse Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS)

3-Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit open shorted to ground Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS)

4-Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit poor electrical connection

5-Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

Water getting inside the heated oxygen sensor connector can caused the heated oxygen sensor fuse to blow. Before replacing the sensor, check for the condition of the heated oxygen sensor fuse and connectors , If the sensor and connector are OK

did you check fuses ?

it is a 4 wire sensor , power from battery and power from ecm for the heated element

please let me know

Are there any signs of rodent? check for any signs of melted or broken wiring. You will also need to check the harness for continuity. You need to follow the steps in the service manual to diagnose that code. Do you have access to a wiring diagram and the steps from the service manual?

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No signs of rodents. I do not have access to service manual or wiring diagram.
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
wiring at the plug side is clean and tidy no damage and o2 sensor replaced so that wiring is new.
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I seen something online about a tsb saying replace o2 sensor and flash ecu but I hope it's something stupid.
Ford Mechanic: Dan, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

I will get you the service manual when I get back to my shop tomorrow.

Thanks.
Customer reply replied 6 months ago
No response. I called the dealer and they advised me of a tsb that may apply. They want to flash my ecm and if code comes back they will diagnose it for $99.
