Need to replace fuse under driver side dash with heavy duty…

Customer Question
Need to replace flasher...

Need to replace flasher fuse under driver side dash with heavy duty flasher fuse so towed vehicle lights are brighter

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?

No probs with fuses. I was told when towing a trailer/vehicle with mmy 350 ford motorhome i needed a heavy duty flasher fuse so the running lights on towed vehicle lights would be brighter

Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your F350?

1998. I bought fuse know where old one is. I just don’t know how to take old one off/out

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your F350 yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes I’m doing it myself. Can i attach a picture to this?

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I’m not sure

Hello my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answers! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and come back with a answer. Please be aware I do not know your skill level or abilities so I will be asking a lot of questions and in a lot of cases we will respond to each other quite a lot before we find a solution. As far as phone calls are concerned that is the system prompting you, not me, and they do cost more money, I prefer text but in some cases a phone call is required. If I don’t answer right away or quickly in conversation I am helping another customer or have stepped out for a moment and will respond as soon as I can. Ok lets get started!

So that relay sounds weird, if you have a volt meter hook up the trailer your towing to the motor home and turn lights on with engine running and measure volts at brown wire and let me know the voltage, you should be able to back probe somewhere in the connector or at a connection somewhere, I suspect you have a poor ground that usually what causes it but we will know if the primary circuit is good with the brown wire test
