I have a 2000...

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0 that I got to hold the accelerator to floor to start. It idles rough and has very bad acceleration. Doesn’t go over 70 mph

you do a fuel pressure test, key on engine off. then see how fast the pressure drops. it should be a very slow drop.

you may also want to check the a couple of plugs to see if they are wet,

Before I switched out the fuel assembly it dropped to 0 psi after like 1 min so I’m thinking it’s something other then fuel assembly

If it dropped to zero after only a minute, then thats a problem

you might also want to do a back pressure test to see if the cats are clogged.
