Hi I replaced liftgate latch on 2011 Ford Escape now it says liftgate/glass ajar and dome light stays on

Did you replace the latch for the ajar light being on? Or did it just not release?

Ok. If it now says ajar, you want to make sure the connector is seated fully for the latch. Also make sure the striker on the bottom is adjusted correctly, far enough out for the latch to completey close and turn the light off.
