Ask Your Own Ford Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
Before rebuild i already had a hot no start and replaced the stand pipes, dummy plugs, and then stc fitting. Then it never fixed it but i lost compression in three cylinders so i done a rebuild
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
Since the rebuild it still wouldnt start hot so i done the oil rails, ipr, and icp. Still no different
Ford Mechanic: Scott W., Ford Technician replied 8 months ago

Ok has a air leak test be tried to find the source of the leak?

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I plan on doing that tomorrow. Could the branch tubes be cracked?
Ford Mechanic: Scott W., Ford Technician replied 8 months ago

It can but I personally have only see 2 bad branch tubes since they came out in 2003, I would suspect either a IPR that is not working or a fuel injector o rings on top is worn since everything else has been replaced. An air pressure test will find it.

The injectors are new remans would those still be bad on top?
Ford Mechanic: Scott W., Ford Technician replied 8 months ago

Were they Ford reman's?

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
No they werent but they had a good reputation so i went with them but that was maybe a mistake
Ford Mechanic: Scott W., Ford Technician replied 8 months ago

Have you verified during the no start that the ICP won't build over 500 psi? Ok I see on the injectors, we haven't had any luck with aftermarket injectors, the ones we put in we had to replace all witjhin about 1-2 months, they were garbage. I would air test it and see where the leak is coming first, then if it is a injector then yes maybe swap those injectors out and try to get your money back would be my suggestion.

i have a scan gauge that shows only about 350 when it wont start
Ford Mechanic: Scott W., Ford Technician replied 8 months ago

Ok just wanted to make sure it wasn't a cam or crank sensor causing this.
