2013 Taurus, 90k miles, original disk brakes. is there a trip to removing the top 2 bolts on the calipers? When using 13mm socket the turn but will not come out

I have replaced disc brakes for many yesrs and never had an issue like this. Could they have been stripped on installation. Theyatr the same on both sides

The caliper slide pins that the bolts screw into are turning along with the bolts. Place a pair of vise grips on the slide pins between the caliper and the caliper bracket to hold the pins and then take the bolts out.
