Ford Mechanic: tims auto repair, mechanic replied 9 months ago

ok

are those the only two codes you get?

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
Those are the only codes I got
Ford Mechanic: tims auto repair, mechanic replied 9 months ago

ok..sense it runs ok and you still get the lean codes..the first thing you need to do is to check all hoses/lines for a vacuum leak..

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Ford Mechanic: tims auto repair, mechanic replied 9 months ago

if you dont find a vacuum leak,,remove and clean the egr valve,it may be sticking open a little causing a vacuum leak from the exhaust

Ask Your Own Ford Question
Ford Mechanic: tims auto repair, mechanic replied 9 months ago

you also need to check the fuel pressure,,low fuel pressure from a clogged filter or a weak fuel pump could also cause these lean codes.
