Customer Question

I am trying to recharge Freon on 2002 Thunderbird. The cylinder hose does not fit the input opening on my engine. The air conditioner was replaced years ago and I am wondering if I need an "adapter" or something to make it work. I know that I am trying to fill at the correct opening. The guys just tell me it won't fit. I don't want to pay someone to do it just because guys don't think women should mess with cars. I know YOU don't feel that way. Help, please
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: yes
JA: Are you fixing your Thunderbird yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: the hose on tank won't fit on input opening
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site, if you are using the low pressure service port to try to add refrigerant and you have the correct hose, then you are doing something wrong. the low pressure port is the smaller one

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Where is it located in relationship to the "large" port?
